Monet recaptured with my AI Camera!
I am going to start this article off on a realist note and clarify that I am absolutely aware of the bitter taste that still remains on the general consensus's palette when digital genres are presented, I was also deeply offended at the route digital currency took in particular BTC. Even though I jumped on the bandwagon later than most I was pulled in a pro digital currency direction and convinced by the hysteria surrounding it as I learnt that block chain was behind literally everything online. Shortly after the scam artists started to appear and then miraculously disappear like Harry Houdini it was obvious that for all good intentions and purposes it still ended up that most of us had been hoodwinked by it's potential as we're not in an ideal world and there were always going to be problems establishing the initial goal posts and parameters. No sooner did we all start to see the forest from the trees we were bombarded with NFT's never one to miss an opportunity I designed several of my own that were not so successful. However this was a turning point for me I thoroughly enjoyed the process of it and that's when I started to dabble in AI Art. There is a valid reason why I know that the digital art space is here to stay and I will list several of my own ideas here and post an official article sent to me that highlights the massive changes across the broad spectrum of areas of work AI is already revolutionizing.
Digital Art is everywhere it's in films, animations, illustrations, graphic design, it's so commonplace that we literally take it for granted if we were to remove every iota of it, you'd find that we were being pushed back at least 100 years. What makes it so different today is that technology has advanced to allow it to be more potent, precise, and perfect in comparison to it's earlier days, the tech is so broad that anyone can use it similar to the fact that anyone can pick up a pencil, paintbrush or camera. So now the race is on to produce great art just like the renaissance era only without the fear of being put to death, due to this fact the limits are endless and the revolution is upon us.
We can bury our heads in the proverbial sand like ostriches or we can chose to learn from the two dummy runs we have just experienced namely the BTC era and the NFT era that ran concurrently, these are perfect yard sticks for how to advance and tailor the digital genre in the way in which we need it to go just like the dot com era helped us navigate through the tricky digital Information highway waters. Every aeon has forerunner faux pas and the digital age is no different. There are a lot of things we can take from those two historical time frames and strengthen the digital art space if not at the very least it's a valid conversation.
Lastly digital art has proven to be very much in demand by tradition brick and mortar galleries and prestigious auction houses as well as online variations alike. There is an insatiable appetite for what is new in AI and it quickly becomes trending news. Digital art is both deemed valuable and collectible and now more than ever is the time to invest in a piece of affordable art as we are at the start of this break through as who knows what it will be worth in the future, if one thing is for sure prices in art always appreciate. As mentioned before digital art is recognised by all Art Houses and has sold anywhere from $350k - $69M already, not speculatively it has already been purchased! Google it. I conclude that digital art is collectible because it is valuable, and not a phase but here to stay.
